Punjab 1984 Movie Review: Story

Punjab 1984 is a story about a mother who loses her son during terrible times of punjab in 1984. It is all about a search of a mother for her son who has been wrongly tagged as a terrorist and how the son manages to fight for all his rights and returns home because of his love for her mother. It is an attempt to portray the pain suffered by all the mothers in punjab during 1984 who lost their sons.
It is a story of a lonely old women leaves her house and travels all the way to the distant town of Bhikhiwind.

Once, there, she spends the whole day just sitting quietly outside the main police station. She has been following this routine for every single day of the last one year. Her name is Satwant Kaur and she is searching for her son who went in the fields one day and never returned. Her search takes her on journey across many villages and towns as she tries to discover her son’s fate. It is a journey full of pain, sadness, hope and tragedy. It is a journey that so many mothers across Punjab have undertaken. Its is a journey of all of us. It is the journey of Punjab and eventually, it is the journey of all humanity.

Punjab 1984 Movie Review: Music

The music of the movie was back to back hit. It has been directed by Gurmeet Singh, Jatinder Shah and DJ Nick. Diljit Dosanjh, Sukhwinder Singh and Harshdeep have given their voices for the songs. The first track Rangrot did magic. It was very much liked by all the fans of Diljit. All the tracks of the movie are pleasurous to hear. Whether its is Channo or Swaah Bann Ke, the tracks are great.

Punjab 1984 Movie Review: Star Casts

The star cast of the movie was very rightly chosen. Kirron Kher as mother has played her role very well. She fulfills all the needs required for the role. Her looks and her dialogue delivery had power that expressed the pain of a mother. This is the first movie in which the audience will be seeing Diljit in an intense role. Doing this role, Diljit has not let his fans down. He has done a wonderful job.

Pawan Malhotra playing the role of Police men and that too a bad policemen has done his part of role excellently. Soonam Bajwa did a fine job but as she was casted the lead actress, her appearance in the movie was very short. Other star cast like Rana Ranbir, Manav Vij, Arun Bali and others were good at their roles.
