Brar hails Sidhu's decision, asks him to come under leadership of Kejriwal

Chandigarh, Sep 21, 2016
Jagmeet Singh Brar, convenor of 'Pehlan Punjab Lok Hit Abhiyan' who recently extended his unconditional support to AAP in Punjab has welcomed Awaaz-e-Punjab’s announcement of not forming a new political party.

Brar said “I welcome this decision made by my brothers Navjot Sidhu, Pargat Singh & Bains Brothers. We must all work together like brothers in arms to save Punjab from the 5 year each Akali-Congress nexus that has looted Punjab for 20 years now.”

Saying that Sidhu, Pargat and Bains Brothers had been working for the interest of Punjab in the past he said “In a video I released on the day of their Chandigarh press conference I had hailed the good work and clean images of these colleagues who I regard as dear friends and made a heartfelt appeal to them to reconsider their decision. Today, I am the happiest man in Punjab because by working together we can shape Punjab’s future to be bright & prosperous.”

Brar said that he has great regard for them.  He said,“I have very good relations with all of them and hold them in high regard. In the coming days I will reach out to them and urge them to immediately take the next step and extend their unconditional support to the hope and aspirations that the people of Punjab have placed in AAP, just like my Lok Hit Abhiyan colleagues and I have done - we must always put Punjab first.”

He made an observation on the division of votes and said “Today it is critical that every anti-incumbency vote is consolidated under one umbrella, so I appeal to my brothers to set aside all personal and political goals and come together under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal and serve our mother Punjab as its true sons.“

He concluded by saying he would be contacting Sidhu, Bains and Pargat Singh after he returned from the International Sikh Conference being held in Patna for the next three days.
