Chandigarh, September 19
The Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) has allowed creches and anganwadis in its dwelling units up to a maximum of 50 sq metres or 50 per cent of the covered area, whichever is more, for providing baby-sitting and
child care facilities.
Only duly qualified and authorised person(s) shall be allowed to run creches or anganwadis, who shall notify the CHB in writing about the premises and the portion thereof to be used for the purpose. The CHB had earlier allowed mobile repair shops, TV and radio repair shops and stationery shops in rehabilitation colonies.
